NetDebt Online Debt Solutions Review

debt_assistanceNetDebt is the only completely online enrollment solution in the debt industry. They understand that most people find the “counseling” sessions that are required by most other debt settlement companies both embarrassing and time consuming. As a result they have offered consumers the opportunity to get started immediately from the privacy of their own home without the hassles commonly found in standard debt solutions.

NetDebt has brought together what they believe to be the top professionals in the fields of finance, law and debt elimination. And they offer this service to you completely, 100% online. Of course there are representatives available if you wish to speak to a “real” person.

Unlike other debt settlement companies who generally represent you when negotiating with your creditors, NetDebt acts as a referral company, putting you in contact with professional debt negotiators who will act on your behalf.

The Program:

Although NetDebt does offer a unique way to get started in the debt settlement process, the basic concept remains the same. You will be connected to an attorney who will negotiate with your creditors to settle your debt for less than what you owe. The cost of the program is 15% of the debt that you include plus a monthly maintenance fee. These fees are included in your monthly payment and not charged upfront. Your monthly payment (minus fees) will go into a settlement deposit account which will be used to pay your creditors when settlements have been reached. The minimum debt required to be eligible for this program is $2,000.

Website Experience:

Considering the fact that NetDebt provides a completely online debt enrollment, it is not surprising that their website is well organized and informative. Most pages have both written text and videos to explain the process or frequently asked questions. While the website is informative and easy to navigate it does lack sufficient information about the process of debt settlement. Hopefully the potential risks and ramifications of going through this process is explained elsewhere before clients are asked to join the program. In an industry that is often on the receiving end of consumer complaints (many times due to the lack of understanding of the negotiation process itself) having this information readily available would be a bonus.  I was unable to find any listing for NetDebt on the Better Business Bureau therefore customer complaints or ratings are not available at this time.
