		<description>Asking for written proof that it is actually your bill will sometimes halt the process altogether.  They are legally required to provide you with the original contract and if they can&#039;t then they are not legally allowed to put it on your credit record.  This does not mean that they won&#039;t but you can dispute it.</description>
